"Building partnerships within the Via Carpatia thematic route"

On 14th November Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic opened a call for proposal to support regional development. Via Carpatia EGTC has become a successful applicant of the project.

Total budget of the project: 39.544,00 €
Dotation from the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the SR: 35.100,00 €
Own resources: 4.444,00 €

The main objective of the project is to support local and cross-border tourism, which can strongly support economic growth of the regions concerned. The implementation of the project can improve the usage of tourist attractions along the planned thematic routes. The planned study can provide useful information about the different types of possibilities for the tourists. Another aim of the project is to motivate cross-border tourists to discover neighbouring regions. 

The project includes two main activities:
1. Searching for partners – The main objective is to support activities strengthening existing partnerships and promoting the creation of new ones in order to support the development of the affected regions.

2. Thematic routes – The main objective is to elaborate the study. The study will focus on the analysis of the current situation and to examine the need of the regions concerned, with the aim to increase the quality of services.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic.
