Implementation of Small Project Found started up!

Small project Fund scheme will be implemented by Via Carpatia EGTC in the Interreg Slovakia – Hungary Programme in the current programming period 2014 – 2020.

This scheme offers suitable conditions for implementing valuable projects with lower budgets and more practical project settings.

The overall objective of the Small Project Fund (SPF) is to strengthen social cohesion across the borders by supporting local level cooperation and to establish and improve long-term collaboration between actors on both sides of the border through the support of local/regional projects. The Small Project Fund will be implemented under two priority axes of the Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Cooperation Programme and must contribute to their priority objectives.

EGTC Via Carpatia submitted the project proposal on 3rd of March, 2017 for the first round of the Call for SPF Umbrella Projects.  On 4th  of April, 2017 the Monitoring Commitee of the Interreg V – A Slovakia – Hungary Cooperation Programme selected EGTC Via Carpatia project proposal.

Small Project Fund for Priority Axis 1 (Nature and Culture) and Priority Axis 4 (Enhancing cross-border cooperation of public authorities and people living in the border area) will be implemented by the partnership of EGTC Via Carpatia (Lead partner), the Košice Self-governing Region and Széchenyi Programiroda Nonprofit Kft.

On 1st of May 2017 EGTC Via Carpatia has employed 4 project managers to ensure the smooth implementation of the Umbrella Project,as well as small projects. Their main tasks is administrating and preparing the managing documentation for the call for small project proposals. The minimum amount of a small project will be  20.000 € and the maximum will be 50.000€. The maximum length of the small project duration will be 12 months.
