Via Carpatia EGTC assessed its activities over the four year period

23. August 2017, in Miskolc the 9th General Assembly (GA) of the Via Carpatia EGTC was organized.

This GA was a milestone in the history of the Via Carpatia EGTC, because it was the last joint Assembly of Török Dezső (the president of the Via Carpatia EGTC) and Dr. Zdenko Trebuľa (the vice president of the Via Carpatia EGTC). They emphasized, that it was a pleasure for them to work together. They evaluated the joint work positively.

Another important step of the Assembly was the election of the director of the Via Carpatia EGTC. The president and the vice president of the Via Carpatia EGTC nominated Dr. Julianna Orbán Máté as a director of the organization. The members of the General Assembly unanimously voted Dr. Julianna Orbán Máté.

The director told about one of the main aims of the Via Carpatia EGTC, which is to submit a project related to the Cross-Border Integrated Action Plan, within the Interreg V-A SK-HU Cooperation Programme. The main goal of the project is to support local production and to reduce disparities between the regions.

During the General Assembly, the following things have been approved:

  • The changes in the Statues of the Via Carpatia EGTC,
  • The successful project, named VIACOR,
  • The 2016 Annual Report of the Via Carpatia EGTC.
